In 2019, I conducted a comprehensive analysis, calculating the K-Index for 50 leading scientists. For detailed insights, please refer to the provided link. The K-Index, initially proposed in 2018 within the esteemed scientific journal Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, stands out for its enhanced reliability compared to the conventional h-index, boasting a notably stronger correlation with Nobel Prize laureates. Recently, I revisited this study, recalculating the K-Index for select scientists from the initial cohort to gauge their performance over the past five years. The ensuing findings are outlined below:
Alain Aspect (Nobel 2022)............21% increase
David Baltimore.............................18%
Allen Bard......................................25%
T.Berners-Lee................................27%
Roger Penrose (Nobel 2020).........29%
Mildred Dresselhaus......................32%
Anthony Fauci................................25%
Jean Fréchet.................................22%
Luc Montagnier (Nobel 2008).......12%
Martin Karplus...............................19%
Margaret Geller.............................19%
Charles Townes.............................20%
Eric Kandel (Nobel 2000)..............18%
Dennis Bray...................................12%
Pierre Chambon.............................22%
Kary Mullis (Nobel 1993)...............20%
Edward Witten...............................10%
Edward Wilson..............................24%
Nüsslein-Volhard (Nobel 1995).....18%
