ChatGPT - Harvard Medical School tops the world's list of Scopus-indexed publications and France dropped out of the Top 10

In the previous post of July 14th, link above, I disclosed the fact that Harvard University banned the feeding of confidential data and non-public research data into generative AI models. 

Interestingly a search carried out today in Scopus shows that the number of publications on ChatGPT has reached 1017 (an 80% increase in about a month). The field of medicine represents the largest group with 420 publications (which can hardly come as a surprise because generative AI can help cut billions in healthcare costs) and in this group, the leadership belongs to Harvard Medical School. The second place belongs to the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Revisitar a famosa hipótese que correlaciona ar poluído e maior tendência para votar em políticos com cadastro

Uma das matérias fortes, do 1º caderno do Expresso de hoje, que ocupa quase duas páginas daquele semanário, é sobre as quase 8000 pessoas que beneficiaram de apoios de um programa governamental, para irem viver no Interior de Portugal, um programa que foi iniciado em 2020 e que eu na altura comentei de forma pouco simpática num post de título "O Interior profundo de Portugal a apenas 50 quilómetros de Lisboa !"  https://pacheco-torgal.blogspot.com/2020/02/o-interior-profundo-de-portugal-50-kms.html

Para infelicidade do Governo, que detesta má imprensa, o artigo em causa aparece colocado lado a lado com uma entrevista feita a um investigador da Universidade de Coimbra, que é designado como sendo um especialista em migrações e que ridiculariza, a exiguidade das referidas 8000 pessoas. O referido especialista respondeu a 9 perguntas do Expresso, de onde se pode concluir que mais importante do que criar programas para trazer pessoas para o Interior, é criar programas para "impedirem" que aqueles que lá vivem se mudem para o Litoral ou para o estrangeiro. Aproveito aliás para reproduzir abaixo uma pergunta (a sexta) que lhe foi colocada e (parte) da respectiva resposta:

At the end of last May, an article published in The Economist recalled that heat is an extremely powerful killer and its power will increase radically due to the ongoing climate emergency. Link above. This problem acquires special relevance, in view of the heat wave that hit Europe this week.
