NEJM Study Finds ChatGPT Ignorant of the Fasting-Compassion Relationship

A highly cited researcher from the University of California recently elucidated the correlation between compassion, the vagus nerve, and heart rate variability. The researcher also cited a study published in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine, which demonstrates that restricting all eating an eight-hour period or a shorter period of time during the day (a form of so-called intermittent fasting) can increase heart rate variability" and thereby increase compassion.

When ChatGPT is asked to write a short essay on fasting and compassion, the result (which shows ignorance of the psychophysiological relationship between the two) is this one https://chat.openai.com/share/8d60ec21-7697-4879-ad68-7500e512ac8a

PS - Considering the aforementioned context, it would be pertinent to revisit the statement regarding fasting mentioned in an article published by The Economist titled "How millionaires devoured the world" at the conclusion of the posthttps://19-pacheco-torgal-19.blogspot.com/2022/02/como-os-milionarios-devoraram-o-mundo.html

No contexto supra revisite-se o post, de título "Como os milionários devoraram o mundo", que termina com uma inspiradora frase sobre jejum, que retirei de um artigo publicado na revista The Economist, "Fasting is not just a mortification or denial; it is a reminder of the value and joy of food" https://19-pacheco-torgal-19.blogspot.com/2022/02/como-os-milionarios-devoraram-o-mundo.html

"What if the devil is my guardian angel: ChatGPT as a case study of using chatbots in education"

Still following the previous post in the link above of June 10th, about the Top 10 countries that have already produced more Scopus-indexed publications on ChatGPT, its worth reading  one of the last of these publications, by a team of several researchers from several countries, with the curious title  "What if the devil is my guardian angel: ChatGPT as a case study of using chatbots in education" that was published in the journal Smart Learning Environments https://slejournal.springeropen.com/articles/10.1186/s40561-023-00237-x#Sec32

In the above context, it is no coincidence that the latest issue of The Economist has an article on "How ChatGPT could help teachers and lower the cost of college":
"Initially…everybody was thinking that the sky was falling,” says Jonathan Torres, an assistant professor of English at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut. He also trains teachers at Quinnipiac, and argues that AI can push them to become better. For example, before Chatgpt came along, an economics teacher might ask pupils to write an essay describing Keynesianism. With ChatGPT as an option, the teacher might ask the students to assess and revise the chatbot’s response to the same question—a more difficult task. AIs have other practical uses for teachers. They can help write lesson plans and worksheets at different reading levels and even in different languages. They can also cut down the time spent on duties, such as writing recommendation letters, that devour time that could be spent teaching" https://www.economist.com/united-states/2023/06/15/how-chatgpt-could-help-teachers-and-lower-the-cost-of-college
