To explore underlying mechanisms, the researchers assessed personality traits using the Big Five Inventory, which measures Openness, Neuroticism, Extraversion, Conscientiousness, and Agreeableness. In addition, they examined two key behavioral markers: risk-taking tendencies and cognitive numeric skills, both of which are known to influence financial decision-making and professional success.
